‘F*ck Me’: Mehdi Hasan Melts Down After Piers Morgan Questions Keeping Pro-Hamas Visa Holders In US

Former MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan was able to see the Piers Morgan show melting Wednesday after being asked if Pro Hamas protesters with the visa should still be allowed to stay in the US.

The protest erupted after Mahmoud Khalil, a former Syrian-born graduate student at Columbia University, was arrested by US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials on Saturday after being involved in a student camp at the university last year. While discussing the arrest with guest Republican Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw on “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” Morgan became obsessed with support for Hamas, which the US designated as a foreign terrorist organization in 1997.

“Medi, let me ask you a question,” Morgan said. “Should anyone in the US wearing a green card be allowed to support terrorist organizations? Because, according to all documents, fill out the list when applying for a green card. Hamas is a terrorist group as defined in the US. He supported Hamas. So, if the US government wants to cancel his green card, as Dan clearly states, they are completely within the scope of their right to do so.”

“It’s not true. Pier, you don’t–No, no, Dan doesn’t make that clear at all,” Hasan said. “The law is not cited that he can cancel his green card for his speech. Pier, you don’t know what you’re talking about. You can’t cancel your green card because you don’t like someone’s speech.”

According to Associated PressKhalil’s green card was revoked after it led to an arrest by DHS officials as it was allegedly “activities alongside the designated terrorist organization Hamas.” Secretary of State Marco Rubio following the arrest of a Syrian-born man Posted On Sunday X, the Trump administration wrote, “they could be deported, as if they would cancel visas and green cards for American Hamas supporters.” (Related: “If You Let Me Answer”: Scott Jennings closes Spur with panelists defending deportation of “radical” university activists)

Morgan continues to argue with Hasan, saying that someone “will not get a green card if they support terrorist groups,” and that it is protected by US law.

“Where is the evidence, the pier? You can’t just say things. Where is the evidence?” asked Hasan.

Crenshaw could then hear that the rule was protected by “US Code 1227.” Hasan looked around the side before asking if they had to discuss both Morgan and Crenshaw at the same time.

“Fuck me,” Hasan sighed. “Is this really going to be two for one? You’re literally talking to me at the same time. I’m not going to let you talk at once. I can’t respond to two of you.”

“No, Piers asked me a question, Dan. I’m dealing with the pier so if you can hold your points. Piers asked me about withdrawing the green card. I’m telling you, pier, there’s no evidence that he supports Hamas. If there was, they would have arrested him for it. They didn’t accus him of supporting Hamas.”

“The US government and Fox news have spent four days generating all sorts of things, video evidence, photographic evidence. They have nothing, so they have no claims for him for crimes,” Hasan added.

In April 2024, Columbia University protesters took over the school building violently and destroyed their property. The occupation followed multiple protests against Israel on campus and on New York City.

Halil told reporters that he was the “primary negotiator” for Columbia University’s Apartheid Dibust (CUAD), and negotiated with the school to “fulfill” the “request” with a sale from an Israeli-related company.

Morgan and Hasan continue to discuss the Quad, with Morgan saying the group “came to have their seventh victory in October.”

In October 2024, Cuad went back to his apology to the students after Colombian student Khymani James said “Zionists” were not worthy of life. Retract James said he faced “anti-black and queerphobia” from “neoliberal media and fascists” and confirmed the group’s support for “liberation by any means, including armed resistance.”
