Former Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway appeared on Fox Business on Thursday, criticising Democrats’ treatment of the economy, describing their approach as “reckless, reckless, unrudderless.”
When he appeared in “Editing the Evening,” Conway said there was a widespread disapproval of economic policy under the Biden administration. The sentiment stems from Democrats’ preference for allocating federal funds to unnecessary programs at the expense of taxpayers, leading to rising prices and lowering high-quality, high-paying jobs.
“Since he was elected, we have seen Democrats in the last 100 days be reckless, reckless and helmed, and this is not a good message for them either because we believe some people on Wall Street and some people, our billionaires, and certainly some of our Democrats are wielding their lives,” Conway said. “Most Americans are willing to exercise patience. They believe that on a macro level, President Trump will bring us to a better economy. Remember, Videnomics was not as popular as Biden himself. There was a reason, Liz.”
Conway criticized Democratic leaders for embedding divisive DEI initiatives across various government agencies.
“People seemed like the Biden Harris government, the Democrats, Chuck Schumer, they looked ridiculous with avocados and beer, completely ridiculous. People know that our prices have risen with money that those Democrats don’t have on things we don’t need,” Conway said. “High-quality, well-paid jobs fell, but there were no tariffs, because of outrageous programs such as artificial policies on government spending, climate compliance of institutions and sectors that have nothing to do with climate.
Conway said the Democrats’ overexpenditure trend has caused an economic crisis exacerbated by changes in the political leaders currently at the helm of President Donald Trump.
“Well, that’s changed because now Donald Trump is president. They see everything through the prism of Donald Trump. Liz says Donald Trump has Democrats where he wants them,” he told host Elizabeth MacDonald. “If they shut down the government, Americans believe it’s Democrats’ fault, and then they’re giving Trump the ability to decide which levers can work again, what is essential and what isn’t.”
With the illusion of government shutdown looming, Conway warned that such outcomes would straighten Democrats’ responsibility. (Related: Details of DEM’s potential fallout that Britthume refuses to vote for bills to avoid government shutdown)
“Most people realize that the economy works more for people over time. I think Fetterman realizes that. He said this is terrible for Americans. Shutdowns will hurt the wrong people. With Fetterman in Pennsylvania, Donald Trump won,” Conway said. “Arizona has Mark Kelly. Donald Trump has scored six points and says the same thing. Don’t shut down.”
Senate Democrats led by Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer have been set to oppose the GOP’s government funding bill, threatening a partial shutdown of the government by refusing to supply the votes needed to overcome the Senate’s 60-vote filibuster. Schumer announced on the Senator’s floor that he would not allow Democrats to vote for Republicans.
The only Senate Democrat who has pledged to vote “yes” for a continuous resolution is Sen. John Fetterman, a Democrat in Pennsylvania Sen. I said It is important to prevent partial government closures. Other Democrats continued to spread misinformation about the bill despite Rep. Jared Golden, the only House Democrat who supported the ongoing resolution. Criticism His colleagues misrepresent that provision.
