sedona news – Sedona International Film Festival is proud to present the Northern Arizona premiere of “New York Cat Film Festival 2024,” showing March 15-19 at the Mary D. Fisher Theater.

Celebrate all things CATS with your family at the movies! New York Cats Film Festival 2024 is a fun, in-theater, communal experience featuring 17 short films.

Movies included in the 2024 lineup include:

• The Cat Knows You Act 1: A cat's thoughts that you have never experienced before.

• A cat named Rumi:I fell in love with a stray cat.

• At last it came into view: This cat begs the question: do others see you the way you see yourself? If so, you're not alone.

• Willow story: A story about a tame black cat who has wild fantasies.

• Mama Cat: A film in which the filmmaker explores the bond between mothers and cats.

• Silent Paw: Photography, music, and poetry by Gabriel Spera highlight the enduring bond between cats and the people who mourn them.

• TNR: Highlighting the problem of feral cat overpopulation in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, where people are trying trap-neuter-return (TNR) as one of the solutions.

• The Cat Knows You Act 2: More wisdom from Cat.

Moose takes a bath: A small kitten was rescued from an abandoned house in Baltimore, Maryland.

• Insomnia: The cat who was forced to take a nap is terribly misunderstood, but persistently searches for a solution.

• Josh and Scout: After a combat deployment in Iraq, Josh suffers from PTSD and severe depression. His unexpected savior is a stray kitten soaked in the rain.

• Shoot the Moon: Brothers Sam and Max don't agree on anything, but when Max's ambition to fly to the moon in a cardboard box puts them in grave danger, it's up to older brother Sam to get them home safely.

Catham County: This documentary follows three CAT rescue groups in Catham County, Georgia as they overcome the challenges of caring for a managed colony.

• Cat's Eye Witness News: Feline news reporters Finny and Daisy report on the news, weather, and restaurant and movie reviews.

• Complete intervention: Sarah's friends think her love for cats is going a little too far and decide to seek outside help. Starring Kisha Pearl.

• Cat Duet: Two friends enjoy Rossini's Cat Duet.

• The Cat Knows You Act 3: Cat ideas and emotions that will surprise you.

New York Cat Film Festival 2024 is presented in partnership with the Sedona Humane Society.

“New York Cat Film Festival 2024” will be shown at the Mary D. Fisher Theater from March 15th to 19th. Screening times are Friday and Saturday, March 15th and 16th at 4pm.and Monday and Tuesday, March 18 and 19 at 7 p.m.
