Concert participants got more than they negotiated Saturday at the Coachella Music Festival as fireworks set off into the air and lit palm trees near the crowd.

“A fireworks just exploded next to me and all my friends at Coachella,” wrote one social media user.
“I couldn’t hear it in my right ear, and it hurts several people. It was crazy, I thought it was a terrorist attack,” the individual wrote along with a video of the shocking scene.
