Fire crews battling wildfire in Prescott National Forest

The Yabapai County Sheriff’s Office has placed YCU-2174 and YCU-2216 north of Pine Flat in “GO” status.

Yavapai County, Arizona – Crews respond to wildfires in the Prescott National Forest.

The Yabapai County Sheriff’s Office will place YCU-2174 and YCU-2216 in “GO” status about 6-7 miles west of Mayer, and people in those zones will need to be evacuated as a result of the fire.

The fire burns 400 acres in Prescott National Forest, with crews hoping for cool weather and hopes that this week’s rain potential will help containment efforts.
