Yuma County, Arizona (KYMA, KECY) – A fire near Lake Mitry in Yuma County has already burned approximately 100 acres.
According to Arizona State Forestry, the fires started near the Main Canal and Laguna Dam, not far from Lake Mitry and Winter Haven.

Fires are burning along the riverbed and active on the northeast and southwest flanks.
So far, it says the fire has burned 80 to 100 acres and has spread to the California side.
Fire teams from Arizona Forestry and the Arizona Department of Land Management are on the scene.
They are requesting fire boats, helicopters and bulldozers.
No injuries or building hazards have been reported at this time, and nothing has been announced about the extent of the fire.
