A fire broke out Thursday night at the old Spanish Trail Motel on East Benson Highway.

South Tucson Fire Department and South Tucson Fire Department responded to the fire just after 10 p.m., and crews did not enter the building because it was deemed unsafe, said South Tucson Fire Chief Andy Luna.
The fire is under control, but crews continue to monitor hot spots.
