A weather storm across the western United States will pick up winds through the middle of the week, with Imperial County seeing the strongest winds today, then extending into south-central Arizona on Tuesday and Wednesday.
A combination of high winds and very dry air could lead to significant fire weather conditions Tuesday through possibly Wednesday.
Hotter conditions are expected to start later this week and continue through the weekend, with highs of 110-115 degrees Celsius over a wider area.
