First Oil And Gas Lease Sales On Public Lands Yield Nearly $40,000,000 In Early Win For Trump Administration

The Department of the Interior (DOI) announced Thursday that it generated more than $39 million in revenue from oil and gas lease sales on public land in the first few months of 2025.

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) leased 34 plots in the first quarter of 2025, equivalent to 25,038 acres, equivalent to 25,038 acres.
