YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) – Five suspects who were caught breaking into a Hill Country home over the weekend appeared in court this afternoon to face charges.
All five suspects were formally charged with burglary and trespassing.
The suspects are Gisele Cardenas, 25, Jonathan Hernandez, 22, Carmen Maldonado, 33, Alfredo Medina, 18, and Jason Valenzuela, 42.

Judge Kathryn Stocking-Tate said, “I would like to inform you that the county attorney’s office has pleaded one count of second-degree theft, two counts of second-degree burglary, and first-degree burglary. I have filed a complaint against him.”
Three men and two women were arrested for attempted robbery last Friday night after neighbors called 911.
Four other suspects fled while the Yuma County deputy was talking to one in the house.
They were arrested on the spot.
Cardenas is being held on $20,000 bail, while Valenzuela is being held without bail and the other three defendants are being held on $15,000 bail.
All five suspects are scheduled to appear in court on Monday afternoon.
