Five Individuals Charged Over Brutal Cincinnati Street Fight

Charges Filed After Viral Street Fight in Cincinnati

Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Tegge announced in a press conference on Monday that five individuals have been charged related to a violent street fight that garnered significant attention online early Saturday morning.

The incident, captured on video, unfolded on Elm and Force Street. It reportedly escalated when a seemingly intoxicated man returned to the area and made racial remarks. The first call to authorities about the chaos came in at approximately 3:06 a.m., according to Tegge.

By the time police arrived, the majority of those involved had already dispersed. Tegge stated, “At this point, both the victim and the suspect have been identified, and we’ve charged five people in connection with this incident.” However, she declined to reveal specific details, urging anyone involved to come forward to the police.

She further emphasized, “We expect to charge five more individuals. Let me be clear: anyone who physically engages with another during this incident will face consequences, regardless of their role.”

Video from the scene shows the fight appearing to start between three men, with one person being thrown to the ground and repeatedly stomped. The chaotic brawl continued, and the nearly two-minute footage concluded as a woman is seen lying on the street and seemingly losing consciousness.

Tegge acknowledged the single 911 call made regarding the incident, highlighting that approximately 100 people witnessed the altercation. “One person did the right thing and called it in,” she noted.

The investigation remains active, with Tegge indicating that all potential charges against those involved are being explored, including local establishments that may have overserved participants.

In related news, FBI officials have stated that an investigation has been initiated, led by directed attorney general Pam Bondy, and they have already interviewed a suspect.
