Flagstaff launches new community info and engagement platform

The City of Flagstaff has launched a new community information and engagement platform.

It’s called Connect the Flagstaff and It is also a site where residents can engage with city officials as they conduct research, provide feedback and learn about some of the city’s long-term projects.

Sarah Langley is the city of Flagstaff Director of Public Relations.

“We currently have two different surveys. One is in the Accessory Residential Unit Model Planning Library, so we are beginning to vote for the Community Choice Awards to best plan which ADU plans,” Langley said. “We have another project that asks Southside neighbours to remind them that they live or grew up in the area and notify the sculptures that their input is placed in the neighborhood.”

Langley said the new platform will replace the older platform, which is much more restricted.

“We really hope to reach more residents than before,” Langley said. “It’s a completely free and user-friendly platform. It looks really nice. So it’s a really quick and easy way to interact with local governments.”

She added that before each project has a different site, it is also a way for the city to centralize information on various projects, such as flood mitigation and new construction.
