Road anger at Flagstaff, including Tesla and Chevrolet Cavaliers, escalated to what Flagstaff police described as “a violent encounter.” The incident occurred near Butler Avenue and Milton Road and continued along Route 66 on March 19th at about 12:30pm. The cabaret driver, identified as Robert Arsette, 33, of Flagstaff, was arrested in connection with the event. 12 News.
According to Fox 10 Phoenixafter Arthurton pulled in front of Tesla and stopped both vehicles, he left the car, and the conflict continued. “The cabaret driver, who was later identified as Robert Arthurton, 33, of Flagstaff, driving in front of Tesla and stopped both vehicles on the road, read some of the statements obtained by the Fox 10 Phoenix. Both parties involved alleged that the incident was caused by “action, cries, disorderly hand gestures.” Minor injuries were reported by both drivers.
The Tesla Driver’s identity has not been released and there is no word on whether they are facing charges. “At the time of the investigation, no additional details were provided regarding the motivation behind the incident,” the Flagstaff Police Department said in a news release. 12 News.
Arthurton was cited for disorderly conduct, assault and aggressive driving “instead of detention” and “instead of detention.” 12 News. The recent incident with Tesla comes amid a wider controversy between the company and its owner, Elon Musk, as Musk is involved in so-called government efficiency and related protests other than Tesla dealerships.
