Yavapai Broadcasting partnered with local businesses on Oct. 9 to host Harvest for the Hungry Food Drive, a one-day event aimed at fighting hunger in central and northern Arizona. The effort successfully collected 7,395 pounds of food to support families in Prescott, Prescott Valley, Cottonwood, and Flagstaff.
Mike Jensen, director of sales and marketing for Yavapai Broadcasting, said: The Harvest for the Hungry Food Drive demonstrated the incredible generosity and unity of our community in supporting those in need. ”
Yavapai operates six radio stations in the area, including KVRD Country 105.7, KYBC-AM, KKLD The Cloud, Q102.9, ESPN Flagstaff (KVNA-AM), and 100.one (KVNA).
