Winning is always great, but doing so behind a season high score is even better (please ask Flagstaff). Everything went on against Moharb’s Thunderbird on Saturday as Flagstaff lost in a 24-2 victory. The victory continues to trend for the Eagles against the Thunderbirds. Connor Smith had a big impact while batting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings, giving up on the runs and hits he had acquired. Zero’s hit allowed him to have a lower new career. He was also big on the plate, 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple and two RBIs. These two runs gave him a new career best.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brody Johnson. Additionally, he posted three RBIs he had in April 2024. Another player that made the difference was Carpenter, who went 3-for-3 on one triple, one stolen base, and one run.
Flagstaff kept the outfield on his toes and finished the game with 19 hits. When they post 11 or more hits, they are perfect 5-0.
