Flagstaff to Star in its Own MONOPOLY Board Game

The Monopoly Flagstaff Edition is expected to be available in winter 2025 at local retailers in Flagstaff, online platforms and select stores.

Ever wanted to ride the Santa Fe Railroad, buy a home in Forest Highlands, or receive $200 for passing through Go? Mr. MONOPOLY wants to make that happen by immortalizing Flagstaff in the board game world of real estate moguls and financial tycoons.

According to a news release, game maker Hasbro wants to create an official Flagstaff version of the legendary game that features local landmarks, restaurants and cultural staples instead of iconic properties like Park Place and Marvin Gardens.

From now through Aug. 15, residents can email Flagstaff@TopTrumps.com to express which locations they would like to see featured in the MONOPOLY Flagstaff game.

The news release also noted that residents are invited to get involved by suggesting their favorite places that best represent Flagstaff: “Whether it's a hidden gem, a bustling marketplace, a beloved park or a historic site, any suggestion is your chance to contribute to this unique version of the Monopoly game. Suggestions will help determine details such as Flagstaff-specific grids, Community Chests and Chance Cards.”

“We are excited to welcome Mister Monopoly and celebrate the launch of Flagstaff's very own Monopoly board,” said Julie Pastorick, president and CEO of the Greater Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce. “This showcase is a wonderful and vibrant cultural opportunity to showcase the important landmarks of our city and the surrounding area. It is also another opportunity for us to come together and share what is special about our community.”

“We aim for the Monopoly Flagstaff Edition to accurately represent why Flagstaff locals love our charming city,” said Top Trumps' Jennifer Tripsey.
