Flagstaff’s winter parking regulations begin Nov. 1 and run through April 1. During this period, parking on city roads and alleys will be prohibited from midnight to 7am.
Winter parking regulations allow the City to thoroughly plow roads during snow events and are continuously applied to assist with street cleaning even when snow is not falling.
The Flagstaff Police Department will enforce this ordinance. Cars parked in violation of the ordinance when it’s not snowing can be ticketed, and cars parked in violation during inclement weather can be ticketed and towed.
There are exceptions and changes to winter parking regulations in several areas of town, including some streets downtown where restrictions apply from 3 a.m. to 7 a.m. For more information on the ordinance and a complete list of exceptions and changes, please visit: flagstaff.az.gov/4881/Winter Parking Ordinance.
