Flagstaff suffered its first loss on Saturday since February 15th. They fell just short of the Show Low Cougars by a score of 54-51. The Eagles’ loss marked the end of their winning streak at four.

It was another great night for Raquel Wilson. At Show Low, he scored 26 points on 10 of his 17 hits, along with six boards and six steals. This marks the third straight game in which Wilson has scored at least a third of Show Low’s points. The team also got some help from Jordyn Boyce, who had 12 points, five rebounds and three steals.

Flagstaff’s loss dropped their record to 4 wins and 3 losses. As for Show Low, they’ve been on a roll lately. They have won eight of their past nine games, improving on their 8-4 record this season.

Flagstaff will face Lee Williams in a holiday battle Monday at 7 p.m. Show Low and Payson will compete for Holiday Cheer on Tuesday at 6 p.m. Payson’s defense has allowed just 27 points per game this season, so Show Low’s offense will have its work cut out for it.
