Flash Flood Warning in Coconino County
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Coconino County, effective until 11 PM on August 26th.
Doppler radar indicates that thunderstorms are bringing heavy rain to the warned areas, leading to potentially life-threatening flash floods at low water crossings and dry stream beds.
Areas at risk for flash flooding include Palia Canyon, Lee Ferry CG, Palia Beach, Lee Ferry, Paris River Slot Canyon, the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Grand Canyon National Park, and Navajo Reservations. Streams and rivers impacted include the Colorado and Palia Rivers.
