Florida is gaining linebackers for Troop County (LaGrange, GA) Kur Birdsong On campus in March, according to a report from Swamp 247.

At one point Birdsong stopped in Gainesville for a Florida junior days in January. That trip didn’t actually take place, though, so it’s the first time the four-star recruit has seen the college in person.

Florida has yet to extend an offer to him, but he may come on this trip. ArkansasCincinnati, MichiganNorth Carolina, Notre DameOle Miss, Pittsburgh, UCF, USC and Virginia Tech are among other programs already offering him scholarship opportunities, and he’s on the radar of several other Power Five teams.

Birdsong has a Florida and locked date. Ohio March. An official visit is also being considered. The plans are due to be committed by the start of his senior year, which gives him six months to make a decision.

Adding Birdsong to a class Graham is already in is a surefire way to solve Florida’s depth problem at linebackers. He brought two players into the position for the season.

In the 247Sports Composite, Birdsong is 146th overall and 14th among linebackers in the 2024 class. The site’s independent ranking his system is even more bullish against him, with him ranked 127th and 10th respectively. His On3 consensus, which weights all four major services equally, ranks him 157th nationally and 16th among those in the position.
