A Key West, Fla., man was arrested on Saturday after he allegedly attacked and spat on a woman while she was holding her newborn.
Gentil Artenor, 33, is accused of punching an unnamed victim in the face, kicking him in the leg and even using a children’s scooter as a weapon in the attack early Wednesday morning. according to The man is also suspected of spatting on her. All this time the woman held her baby in her arms.

The woman called police to her home in Stock Island, Fla., around 7:30 a.m. The woman had “injuries consistent with the story” when police arrived, the paper reported. (Related: Man shoots face of mother holding baby, witness claims)
At the time of the incident, there were also three other children.

Authorities successfully obtained a warrant and arrested the man Saturday night. he is in prison.
Artenor has been charged with assault, child abuse and wrongful imprisonment. cbs news miami.
