Both are cool here…but the Devils won the day in style.
The NHL will play not one, but two games at MetLife Stadium in the Stadium Series, with the first matchup being Saturday's game between the Philadelphia Flyers and New Jersey Devils.
And sure, this match has some implications as far as the Metropolitan Division is concerned, but why can't both teams still have fun? (Related article: The contempt is real: Longtime GM Jarmo Kekalainen fired by Blue Jackets after 11 seasons)
That's exactly right, and that's what they did.
Starting with the Flyers, they opted for true blue Philadelphia, wearing the Rockies' iconic gray training sweatsuits. Yes, it's the movie Rocky.

I really like the Flyers' thoughtfulness, but let's be honest here…
The Devils won the day dressed like Tony Soprano's crew and I think they look absolutely amazing.
Check out Flash and Dash.

This is perfect timing for New Jersey. Because his wife and I just finished our annual “The Sopranos” binge the other day, and I can tell you that the Devils were 100% spot on with this one.
And while we're on the topic, can we all agree that “The Sopranos” is the best TV show of all time?
At least, it's up there with another legendary show, Breaking Bad.
I'm binge eating this right now (second time) and it's absolutely amazing.
I mean, damn, moments like this were great.
Unfortunately, we don't have a New Mexico hockey team. It's entirely possible to do a playoff version of “Breaking Bad.” NHL, let's get to work.
