Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl stopped the set during a show in Birmingham on June 27 to speak out about an incident with the audience.
Foo Fighters were performing at Villa Park Stadium as part of their UK tour but decided they needed to cancel the show on their Everything or Nothing at All Tour to ensure the safety of one of their fans. mirrorGrohl noticed the crowd was causing mayhem and quickly warned the crowd, saying “I don't want this to happen” when the chaos continued. As fans were getting excited in the packed arena, Grohl suddenly stopped the entire band. “Is he up yet? If he's not we're going to start playing Stairway to Heaven,” Grohl told the crowd, according to the Mirror.

He continued to send warning messages to the crowd amid the chaos.
“Nobody wants to hear me play 'Stairway to Heaven',” he told the Mirror.
The famous musician waited a while, but decided that the reaction from the fans wasn't satisfactory. As promised, he started playing some Led Zeppelin hits, and the crowd responded.
Just a few minutes after the singer began, the audience member in question appeared to comply with his wish.

It was not immediately clear what prompted Grohl to call off the performance, nor was it clear who or how many people were involved in the altercation.

Musicians are becoming increasingly mindful of what's happening to their audiences while they perform, with recent headlines reporting that Taylor Swift made the same decision as 55-year-old Grohl after spotting a distressed fan. Justin Timberlake, Billie Eilish, Travis Scott and The Kid Laroi have also taken similar action.
