$25 for a hot dog?
As a soccer fan, I love watching Euro 2024 and the Copa America on TV, and like many Americans obsessed with the beautiful game, I feel immense pride for the United States as we advance through the latter tournament.
If you haven't been paying attention (and I know a lot of you here at the Caller aren't soccer fans), the U.S. played solidly in their first Group C match, 2-0 victory We beat Bolivia, and I think we could have been more dominant (and I think that's because coach Gregg Berhalter didn't use any midfielders). Joe Reyna It's more complicated than that, but a win is a win anyway, but if we play Argentina or Brazil we definitely need to try harder, but then we just have to cross that bridge.
Because what really concerns me is the exorbitant food prices at the Copa America, just hours before the USMNT's second match of the tournament against Panama. (Related article: U.S. Soccer starts off strong with 2-0 win over Bolivia in Copa America. Can they win it?)
This should be a great time, especially for us Americans. It's the official kickoff of our journey to the 2026 World Cup, and of course we want to get it off to a good start by winning the Copa. It's a great time to be an American soccer fan. And for me, as an Inter Miami fan, it's even more special to get to witness Lionel Messi in action for Argentina.
But no! All magical things end up ruined!
I mean, $25 for a hot dog? $25 for a salad?!
At this Copa America game, hot dogs cost $25 in the SoFi press box, and $85 for parking seemed steep, but I was wrong. pic.twitter.com/x9PhFQ4af5

This is total robbery! What an energy-sapping move, Copa! (At least for me)
