Football Recap: Flagstaff Takes a Loss

Flagstaff entered Thursday’s matchup with Prescott undefeated at home, all for the first time. The Flagstaff Eagles lost to the Prescott Badgers 30-3. It was the first time this season that the Eagles disappointed their fans at home.

Chase Brown threw for 91 yards on 9 of 24 attempts. Chase Carlson was his top target, gaining 32 receiving yards. On the ground, Jadon Wetzel rushed for 115 yards.

With this loss, Flagstaff fell to 5 wins and 2 losses, ending their winning streak at 4. For Prescott, this win (his fifth consecutive year) improves his record to 6-1.

Both teams will have to travel on the road for their upcoming games. Flagstaff heads to play Lee Williams on Friday at 7 p.m. Flagstaff is facing Lee Williams at the right time, as he is on a five-game losing streak. As for Prescott, he will be on the road to take on Bradshaw Mountain on Thursday at 7 p.m.
