Just when you thought Machine Gun Kelly couldn't get any more messed up, he got a black ink tattoo all over his chest.
The rapper-turned-rocker showed off his new tattoo on Instagram on Tuesday, but was immediately met with backlash and criticism. It's easier to scoff at this strange “art” than to try to understand what caused his body to do this. MGK even has black tattoos on his nipples, and fans wasted no time disparaging the artist for trying to play the persona of a black man.
Some social media users thought this amounted to his full body blackface. If he's trying to be black, this will be fine for a while, until it starts to turn gray like his music career.
MGK posted a photo of a black torso on social media with the caption, “For spiritual purposes only, thank you 🖋️ @roxx_____.” And it quickly became the laughing stock of the internet.
“🤮Eminem took this little boy off the rails,” one person wrote.
“Homie must be getting ready to date the Kardashians,” another woman said.
Another social media user said: “My brother thinks he's a Viking.”
MGK gave a shout out to the creators of the tattoo, Rocks and Cats.
“You're welcome. You're a champion and you look amazing! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🙌🙌🙌🖤🖤,” one wrote.
If you thought he might just be playing around with fans, think again.
A Roxx and Cats representative confirmed that the ink is authentic.
“Yes, the tattoo is very permanent,” the rep said. new york post.
“The tattoo was completed by ROXX over Christmas and New York. MGK was the toughest client she has ever worked with,” they said. (Related: Krisian Locke gets blueface image tattooed on his face amid volatile relationship)
