It was reported earlier this week that former Auburn University guard Aiden Holloway, who recently entered the transfer portal, would be visiting Tuscaloosa.
Holloway officially announced his transfer to Nate Oats and the Alabama Crimson Tide on Friday afternoon.

Holloway entered Auburn University with high expectations as a five-star, top-20 player in the class of 2023. But in his only season on the Plains, the talented young guard didn't quite pan out.
Despite occasional flashes of brilliance, including a scoreless night in Auburn's first-round win over Yale, Holloway averaged just over seven points per game and shot just 30 percent from the 3-point line.
In high school, Holloway was rated as an elite 3-point shooter, and joining Nate Oats' offense will hopefully help him find more spacing and realize his potential as a shooter.
Aiden Holloway had a stellar game in the first half against PHH Prep, knocking down eight straight three-pointers. He finished with 26 points (8/12 on three-pointers), nine assists and seven assists. Shooting always pays off. Aiden Holloway pic.twitter.com/IgSEZPsXJs

Holloway is the third transfer to come to Tuscaloosa this offseason, joining guards Houston Mallett and Chris Youngblood, as the team looks to make another leap forward following its first-ever Final Four appearance. Holloway's arrival gives Alabama two spots remaining.
Holloway figures to be a key piece for a rebuilding Tide team in 2024-25.
