Former Fox News host and journalist Lou Dobbs has died at the age of 78, former President Donald Trump announced in a social media post on Thursday.
“The great Lou Dobbs has passed away,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “A friend and a truly incredible journalist, reporter and talented person. He understood the world and what was going on better than anyone. Lou was unique in many ways and loved our country. My heartfelt condolences to his wonderful wife Debi and family. He will be greatly missed!”
Dobbs's journalism career spans five decades and he was previously a network vice president at CNN. He hosted “Lou Dobbs Tonight” on Fox Business Network from 2011 to 2021. The show airs on the channel's Highest Rating program. (Related article: Lou Dobbs: “It's completely irrational for Trump to share intelligence with Democrats who support impeachment.”)
