Former NFL defensive end Robert Quinn was arrested Friday on suspicion of fleeing a multi-vehicle crash in North Charleston, South Carolina.
The incident occurred around 2 a.m., and North Charleston Police Department officers were called to the scene of the accident. According to Count on 2 news. Firefighters at the scene alerted officers that the suspect may have attempted to flee the scene in another vehicle. The suspect was identified as Quinn, who most recently played for the Philadelphia Eagles, according to reports.
According to the newspaper, responding officers found a white Dodge Challenger backing up when they arrived. When authorities stopped the car, the driver told police that his passenger, Quinn, had called him to come pick him up.
Through city cameras, officers observed Quinn drive along the road, cross an intersection, drive through a median, and then drive into the property where the accident allegedly occurred. (Related: NFL player Ronnie Phelps arrested after allegedly driving drunk and crashing into restaurant).
CountOn2 News reported, citing police, that Quinn, 34, crashed into the side of another car, which was then pushed into a Ford truck, which then crashed into another car. He was reportedly at a nightclub before the accident.

Quinn was drafted by the St. Louis Rams in 2011 and traded to the Miami Dolphins in 2018. According to ESPN records. He then spent one season with the Dallas Cowboys, followed by three seasons with the Chicago Bears.
In August 2023, Quinn faced similar charges in connection with a hit-and-run in Summerville, South Carolina, CountOn2 News previously reported reported. While searching Quinn’s car, officers found a half-empty bottle of Crown Royal Apple Whiskey, the newspaper said.
Quinn’s truck crashed into two vehicles parked in the woman’s driveway, and the woman reportedly told police the football player had assaulted her. She told police that after he got out of his truck and offered to buy her a beer, he told her to “listen to me” and “grabbed her by the shoulder,” before slapping her in the face.
Quinn later turned himself in to authorities.
