Former Trump White House official Peter Navarro has been ordered to report to a Miami prison by March 19 to begin his four-month sentence, according to a court filing Sunday.
In February, U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta denied Navarro's request to suspend his prison sentence as he appeals his conviction for contempt of Congress for failing to comply with a Jan. 6 committee summons. Department of Justice (DOJ) was indicted Navarro took office in June 2022 after refusing to testify during sworn testimony and failing to provide documents pointing to executive privilege requested by the committee on Jan. 6.
