Fort Huachuca, Arizona – Four Soldiers retired January 27 at a quarterly installation retirement ceremony hosted by Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) at Brown Parade Field.
“Together, these soldiers have served this great nation for a total of 103 years … just think about it … 103 years of experience, leadership and knowledge,” said Maj. Gen. Christopher L. Eubank, commander of NETCOM. emphasized. “He’s been a member of the best armies and teams in the world for 103 years.”
The Army celebrated the career of Col. Mark R. Baggett, Commanding Psychologist for the United States Army Intelligence Center of Excellence (USAICoE).Major Robert K. Freyux, Enforcer of the 304th Military Intelligence (MI) Battalion.Chief Warrant Officer 5 Joseph C. Thatch, Course Manager and Instructor at Bravo Company, No. 304 MMI Bn. and Chief Warrant Officer 3 Eric A. Gorden, Technical Advisor to USAICoE’s Signals Intelligence Area.
“Each of you is part of this incredible team, and you are at the forefront of global change,” said Eubank.
These soldiers have served in combat, humanitarian assistance and peacekeeping operations around the world, including Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, Bosnia, Ukraine, Syria, Mozambique, Chile and Paris.
“Today you are a veteran, a retiree, a soldier for life,” Eubank said. “He’s an inspiration for the next generation of soldiers.
“Wherever you go, I ask everyone to look for opportunities to be community leaders,” he advised. “Keep telling your story, inspire others, and help other Americans understand through your stories and experiences the precious opportunities our Army has to offer.”
