Four students were killed in a drive-by shooting at an Atlanta public high school on Valentine's Day, according to multiple reports.
Authorities said shots were fired from an unknown vehicle in the parking lot of the Benjamin E. Mays High School Lower Campus around 4 p.m. Wednesday. according to Go to 11 Alive. Atlanta Public Schools (APS) said in a statement, “Atlanta Public Schools Police Department and Atlanta Fire Rescue immediately responded to the situation and all victims were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.” . “No other students, faculty or staff were injured. This matter remains under investigation.”

The school immediately canceled all events following the incident, and authorities confirmed that an investigation is underway. according to Go to NBC News. School police are leading the investigation, but the release vehicle and motive have not been disclosed, the newspaper reported.
The district added that “the safety of our students and staff is our top priority.”

High school student Breasia Powell was shot and killed on the morning of May 28, 2023, after a night out with her friends.
