Four-time Grammy Award-winning actor Will Smith ended his seven-year hiatus from music with a new song he released on Friday.
The acclaimed actor and rapper has ended his solo music hiatus with his new single “You Can Make It.” The song marks Smith's first musical return since his 2017 EDM track “Get Lit” and his first solo work since his 2005 album “Lost & Found.” according to Dear People, The new single features participation from the Sunday Service Choir, famous for their work on Kanye West's “Jesus Is King,” as well as collaborations with artist Friday.

According to the outlet, Smith used his signature rapping style to deliver an inspiring message that resonated with his personal experiences and challenges, including his highly publicized showdown at the 2022 Academy Awards ceremony.

According to People magazine, Smith will be performing “You Can Make It” live at the 2024 BET Awards on Sunday, June 30, and will be joining other big names like Lauryn Hill, Megan Thee Stallion, and Ice Spice.
