Fourth person arrested after incident 16-year-old boy found dead at Kingman in late February. The Mojave County Sheriff’s Office said his parents admitted to hiding the boy’s body and lying to police about its whereabouts.
Police identified a fourth suspect as Siobhan Gzida, 39, who allegedly abused the dead boy’s 14-year-old sister.
Amber-Leah Valentine, 41, and Jon Imes, 41, called the Mojave County Sheriff’s Office on February 25 to report that their 16-year-old son had run away. Three days later, on her February 28th, near Anson Smith Road and Indian Canyon Road in Kingman, the boy’s body was found behind a stone wall, wrapped in a blanket.
Valentine and Ames were arrested March 2 after Valentine called the Mojave County Sheriff’s Deputy to seek medical attention for her and her 14-year-old daughter.
Valentine and her daughter were taken to Kingman Regional Medical Center for treatment. There, Valentine told agents that she and Ames had disposed of her 16-year-old son’s body, saying, “They lied when they reported him as a fugitive, and he was already dead at the time of the report.” ,” the Mojave County Sheriff said. Immes also admitted to disposing of his son’s body and lying to his agent, Shuster said.
Valentine’s 14-year-old daughter was reportedly held in custody by her mother’s roommates, Richard Pounds, 34, and Siobhan Gzida, 39, but during questioning at the hospital detectives told her she was abused at home. He said he was. .
Pounds was arrested on felony child abuse and aggravated assault charges and booked into the Mojave County Adult Detention Center pursuant to a search warrant, according to the sheriff’s office.
Police said on Tuesday detectives questioned a 14-year-old boy who was being treated at an undisclosed location.
Guzida was questioned by police, arrested for severe child abuse, and issued a red-handed arrest warrant, police said.
