SAFORD — Days before the planned grand opening ceremony, the holder of a license to operate a medical cannabis dispensary in Graham County announced that it would revoke the license from the company.
In a prepared statement issued on Monday, Fortwenty Collections founder and CEO Marvina Thomas said, “We wish the long-term health and steady growth of our expanding company. It said it will exit the Safford business as part of a revised strategic plan aimed at securing
“We appreciate the continued support of our customers, partners and employees, and look forward to further strategic expansion of Fourtwenty Collections to make a difference in our community,” said Thomas.
According to the release, Thomas will continue to operate a pharmacy in Las Cruces, New Mexico, where he will own and operate a vertically integrated facility that retails, grows and manufactures for medical and adult consumers. Thomas plans to further expand its white labeling capabilities at the location.
And she’s also a stakeholder in a property in Phoenix that’s being renovated and zoned as an adult pharmacy.
The Safford store on US Highway 70 will remain open and operate under licensee Arizona Wellness Center Safford LLC, according to a release. The grand opening, originally scheduled for Friday, July 7, has been postponed.
