The first weekend of summer 2023, not far from Fort Collins and Denver, is the 12th Annual Frederick in Flight Hot Air Balloon Festival.
This is a great three-day event that celebrates Colorado, hot air ballooning, and summer. A decade later, the town of Frederick knows how to host this event. On the Saturday night of the event they throw a big party.

Although small, Frederick is part of the chain of towns that make up Carbon Valley: Frederick, Erie, Firestone, Dakono and Meade. Three sisters named their town after their father, Frederick Clark when the town was incorporated in 1907.Frederick in Flight” is going to be their proud event.
Frederick hosts lots of fun events like the Chainsaw Art Contest, which I enjoy a lot, and is also home to Mountain Cowboy Brewing’s first place. I think it’s the best place to live. His 14,000 in Frederick appear to agree.

Every morning of the event, there is a ‘balloon lift’ at Frederick’s Centennial Park, a huge Saturday night party.
