The Arizona Weather Service has issued three cold weather warnings for parts of Arizona. Freeze Advisories, Freeze Warnings, and Freeze Warnings officially went into effect Wednesday night through Thursday morning. This includes Yuma, Phoenix, Pinal County, Tucson, Santa Cruz County, La Paz County, and Cochise County. Read on to find out what alerts you’re seeing…
The coldest system of the season will move on Wednesday and Wednesday nights. From Wednesday night through Thursday morning, parts of the advisory/warning zone will be emptied and cold air masses will remain. thursday morning. This air mass will also affect the metropolitan area from Phoenix, through Pinal, through his I-10 corridor, and into the Tucson forecast area.
The air masses are so cold that even the Yuma and Parker forecast zones will see frost caution temperatures between 33 and 38F. Simply put, it’s going to be cold on Thursday mornings in these zones, so bundle up, protect your plants/animals, and yourself.
Those who are in the mountains don’t need an email alert system alert due to the fact that it’s always below freezing during these storms this time of year… Anyway, the model labels you.
