The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for Maricopa County starting at 12:53 p.m. on January 8th. The alert expires at 9am on January 10th.
A freeze warning was also issued for Pima County from 10 p.m. Wednesday to 10 a.m. Thursday and from 10 p.m. Thursday to 10 a.m. Friday.
Widespread subzero temperatures were expected to range from 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
