The internet is abuzz after pictures of French President Emmanuel Macron sharing a passionate embrace and kiss with Sports Minister Amelie Oudea-Castella went viral on social media.
Sparks flew when Macron grabbed Oudéa-Castela's arm and leaned in during the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics. Macron responded by gripping Oudéa-Castela's arm tightly and wrapping his other arm affectionately around Macron's neck. Oudéa-Castela then kissed Macron's neck.

The rapprochement between the French president and his staff was exacerbated by the reaction of Prime Minister Gabriel Attal, who, when the atmosphere became awkward, grinned and shifted his focus in the other direction.
