Funding going towards Yuma International Airport 

Sinema and Kelly's bipartisan infrastructure bill would invest about $36.9 million in renovations to Arizona airport terminals.

Yuma, Arizona (KYMA, KECY) – Through airport terminal programYuma International Airport will receive $950,000 to improve security.

Yuma International Airport plans to use this grant to improve security by upgrading and replacing security cameras, access readers, fiber optics, and data switches.

Incorporate hardware in high-security locations to enhance security and help detect potential threats to people, property, and aircraft.

A press release from Sens. Kyrsten Sinema and Mark Kelly states that $36.95 million will be invested in renovations to Arizona airport terminals under the bipartisan infrastructure bill.

Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport will also receive $36 million through the Airport Terminal Program.

The program was created by Sinema and Kelly's bipartisan Infrastructure Act to provide grants for airport terminal development projects, the press release states.

“Today's $36 million investment through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Act will strengthen the security and safety of Phoenix Sky Harbor and Yuma International airports, making it easier for Arizonans to travel with confidence.” Sinema said.

“Our airports support jobs and tourism for our state. These resources will further modernize Sky Harbor, strengthen security at Yuma International, and ensure our passengers can travel safely and comfortably. “Senator Kerry said.
