Sheryl Beth Zimmer. From October 20, 1944 he until March 3, 2023. My mother, Sheryl B. Zimmer, was born in Trenton, New Jersey to Richard and Betty Zimmer. Sheryl was the eldest of five children. She married Bob Kelly in 1965 and eventually headed west. Cheryl graduated from the University of Arizona, where she earned degrees in Journalism and Family and Consumer Sciences. She worked a lot to support our family and eventually ended up in surgery at the University Medical Center where she served for over 20 years and helped manage doctors and staff. My mother was active in hiking, backpacking, biking and running. She has completed several marathons, including the New York City Marathon. Cheryl loves to travel and has visited many destinations within Mexico, Peru, Vietnam, China, Italy, Spain, England, and the United States. She loved reading and art. She was open minded, funny, practical, generous, warm and smart. Cheryl is survived by her brothers Sharon Zimmer (Mike), Liz Palmucci (Tony), Richard Zimmer (Dottie), Susan Godwin (Steve), and Tucson’s cousin and friend Debbie Harclelord, as well as her nieces and nephews, cousins. , and dear friend. Also survived were her daughter Laura Kelly Henkel, her stepson John Henkel, and her beloved grandchildren Alan, Riley, Mason and Jordan. Her parents and daughter Jennifer Gene Kelly passed away.Her mother was my hero and my biggest cheerleader. I am forever grateful to her and miss her every day. In memory of Cheryl read a book, go to the theater, shout what a beautiful day it was ( Especially during this beautiful time of year in Tucson). Her memorial service will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the San Pedro Chapel (5230 E. Ft.). Lowell Road, Tucson, Arizona.
