Urban water regeneration facilities certified by ADEQ’s Voluntary Environmental Management Program
Flagstaff, Arizona – The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) awarded bronze levels to the city of Riode, Flagstaff
Flag Water Regeneration Facility for the Voluntary Environment Stewardship Program.
Bronze Levels exceed legal requirements to recognize and protect organizations demonstrating strong environmental compliance
Human and environmental health. To qualify, a regulated facility must have zero violations on record with any environmental regulatory body for the past three years.
ADEQ praised the Rio de Flag Water Reclamation Facility for demonstrations of environmental excellence and leadership in groundwater
protection. One of two water reclamation plants operated by the city of Flagstaff, the Rio de Flag facility is capable of treating 4 million gallons of water per day through traditional wastewater treatment processes. Other city reclamation facilities;
