Gary Palmer: Campus protests part of a ‘vast left wing conspiracy’

Rep. Gary Palmer (R-Hoover) Anti-Israel protests and camps on university campuses The riots taking place across the country are not spontaneous and are in fact funded by left-wing groups.

“Well, I think it's probably anti-Semitic, but I also think it's anti-American,” Palmer said on “Alabama Morning News with JT.”

ALABAMA – Since the Oct. 7 terrorist attacks in Israel, illegal camps protesting Israel's war against Hamas have popped up on college campuses across the United States.

“There's a vast left-wing conspiracy,” Palmer argued. “The same foundations and families behind them that fund NPR also fund protests. They pay people who train college students to protest. They fund Democratic candidates and provide dark money to Democratic operatives.”

The lawmakers argued that the group was not only funneling funds into campus protests, but was also trying to attack conservatives in other areas.

“There was a hearing a few weeks ago on National Public Radio, and as I'm sure you all know, NPR has a policy of not hiring Republicans or conservatives,” Palmer explained. “That's why we had the hearing. The thing that everybody's focused on is how much federal money is going to NPR. Well, that's a distraction. The real money is with these big foundations, billionaire foundations, like MacArthur and Bill and Melinda Gates and Pritzker.”

“They're coming after you,” he added. “The MacArthur Foundation has set aside $500 million to start buying up local radio stations to create left-wing local media and the information sources behind them.”

Palmer said these left-wing groups aren't just anti-Israel; they want to fundamentally change America.

“So these Hollywood elites,” he said, “these billionaires are George Soros, the Pritzker family, and by the way, the governor of Illinois, who is part of the Pritzker family. So we have to look deep into this and ask ourselves: Is this just anti-Semitism, or is it a bigger issue? And I think it is a bigger issue.”
