Ghislaine Maxwell’s Recent Testimony
Ghislaine Maxwell, known for her involvement in sex trafficking and her ties to Jeffrey Epstein, disclosed a conversation involving Harvard Provost Henry Rosovsky during an interview transcript released in July. Maxwell recounted her interaction with Rosovsky, who was reportedly familiar with Epstein.
The transcript, published by the Department of Justice along with U.S. attorneys, details an exchange where Associate Attorney General Todd Blanche inquired about a “famous individual” allegedly receiving massages from young women in the 1990s within Epstein’s circle. Maxwell remarked that she saw Rosovsky in a bathrobe and he mentioned getting a massage.
Blanche probed further, asking if the masseuse was nude during the massage. Maxwell hesitated, stating, “I wouldn’t think of it,” and speculated that it was unlikely as Rosovsky was more traditional, reflecting the attitudes of the 1980s.
Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2022 after witnesses testified about her role in facilitating abuse at Epstein’s hands, including instances of sexual massages.
Rosovsky was introduced to Epstein in 1991 by Leslie Wexner, one of Epstein’s financial backers. Harvard University named its Hillel building after Rosovsky, who passed away in 2022. Reports indicate that he attended several discussions hosted by Epstein in both Cambridge and Massachusetts.
Previously, Rosovsky Hall featured a plaque honoring Epstein, but it was taken down following backlash. The Harvard Hillel chapter clarified that Epstein merely facilitated Wexner’s donation toward the building’s construction, according to reports from Harvard Crimson.
On July 22, Blanche announced that the DOJ would interview Maxwell in line with President Trump’s instructions to uncover “all reliable evidence” concerning Epstein’s activities. He asserted that nothing in the transcript was altered, except for the names of Epstein’s victims.
