Ghislaine Maxwell Shares Her Thoughts on Epstein’s Death

Ghislaine Maxwell’s Views on Jeffrey Epstein’s Death

In a recent interview with the Department of Justice (DOJ), Ghislaine Maxwell expressed skepticism about the idea that Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide. She shared her thoughts with Associate Attorney General Todd Blanche, who also doesn’t think that his death was ordered by anyone outside of the prison. Instead, Maxwell attributed Epstein’s demise to the mismanagement within the Bureau of Prisons (BOP).

“In this prison, someone can be killed or paid off,” Maxwell remarked, suggesting that a hit could cost as little as $25. “It’s like a race to hit rock bottom today.”

Blanche asked, “Who wanted him dead?” to which Maxwell replied, “I think that’s possible, but I don’t really see it that way. I can’t say that I believe it’s some kind of hit.” She implied that if it had been a murder, it likely stemmed from issues within the prison.

Maxwell further questioned the logic behind Epstein’s supposed murder, stating, “If that was the plan, they would have had many opportunities when he wasn’t incarcerated. He would have been an easy target if they were truly worried about him spilling secrets.”

The DOJ has made the full interview with Maxwell available online. This took place on July 24 and 25, according to the website.

In a related note, Epstein’s brother had hired a forensic pathologist in 2019 to challenge the official autopsy findings, arguing that the evidence pointed more towards murder than suicide. Additionally, an inspector general’s report from June 2023 highlighted issues with video footage from the Special Housing Unit (SHU) where Epstein was held. It mentioned that malfunctioning equipment left only one camera operational during a pivotal time.

The prison guards on duty the night Epstein died faced charges in 2020 for failing to perform their rounds adequately, despite being logged as present. The DOJ has released over ten hours of footage from the night of Epstein’s death, but discrepancies in the video system and metadata have raised eyebrows regarding its authenticity.

With questions swirling about the circumstances surrounding Epstein’s death, it seems there are still many unanswered queries ahead.
