After picking up their first home win of the year on Thursday, the Hawks quickly picked up their second win, defeating San Luis at the Hawks Nest.
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) – Gila Ridge boys basketball (6-14) defeated San Luis (2-8) 73-49 at home on Friday night.
The first half was a bit of a close game for both teams, as the Sidewinders only trailed by eight points at halftime.
San Luis trailed by just 10 points entering the fourth, but Gila Ridge held the Sidewinders to just seven points in the final frame.
That defensive effort should be enough to carry Gila Ridge to victory.
The Hawks head off to face North Canyon on Friday, January 26th with a chance to make it three straight wins.
