Gilbert library introduces new equipment to assist residents

Phoenix – New Document Recording Kiosk Opens at Gilbert Library

Residents of East Valley can now record titles, acts, and various documents right at the Gilbert Library.

A new kiosk at the Southeast Regional Library has made this possible. This is actually the second recording kiosk; the first one was opened in Sun City back in May.

The kiosk introduces a convenient method for recording documents with the Maricopa County Recorder office. It features a touchscreen, instant document scanning, and a credit card payment option.

This service is part of the county’s expanding digital recording initiative. The Recorder’s office reports that over 90% of documents are now recorded digitally in Maricopa County.

Stephen Richer of the Maricopa County Recorder emphasized the pride in providing this service to the community. He mentioned, “These kiosks are intended to enhance convenience while maintaining our exceptional service. We’re also really thankful for our collaboration with the Maricopa County Library District, which has been instrumental in making this service possible.”

What’s the Significance of the New Kiosk at Gilbert Library?

In short, these kiosks help East Valley residents save time and gas. Previously, I had to travel to my office downtown, located near Jefferson Street and Third Avenue. Alternatively, one would have had to send documents via email.

This kiosk, however, connects users directly with county employees. With live assistance, individuals receive the same level of service they would if they visited the Phoenix office.

The new kiosk at the Southeast Regional Library, situated near Guadalupe and Greenfield roads, is open Monday to Friday from 10 AM to 4:30 PM, excluding holidays.

Looking ahead, the Maricopa County Recorder office plans to open another kiosk in Goodyear later this year.
