Oh Rachel Mitchell, where are you? Stop running for office and do your job!
Where are the investigations and resignations? Where is your anger?
Your excuse is that there is too much evidence to examine before taking action against Gilbert Goons. Is that true?
For over two years, wealthy and privileged thugs assaulted teenagers in Gilbert and Queen Creek with impunity — all crimes reported to police and schools.
And we were all waiting.
Why did local residents march and demand action before lives were lost on Preston Road, forcing you and the police chief to act?
Where is the accountability for the delays allowed by those with money and influence?
why is that?
How about we stop making big statements about the Governor and look at our own backyard?

I am not serving in combat roles, that much is clear.
I was disappointed but not surprised by the news that Steve Slaton, Republican candidate for state senate and owner of Trumped stores, was being accused of inflating his military service during the Vietnam War.
Few things are taboo in the veteran community. Still, there are lines that any worthy veteran will never cross. Lying about military medals or combat service for personal gain is one of those lines.
I served domestically in the United States Air Force during the final days of the Vietnam War, and like many veterans, to avoid confusion I try to distinguish that I am a Vietnam-era veteran, not a Vietnam War combat veteran.
During that time, my family gave so much to this country: my brother served twice in Vietnam and barely survived a helicopter crash after spending months in the hospital;
After I served in uniform, I spent decades healing the human damage done to the bodies and souls of Vietnam War veterans like my brother.
This fall, these veterans will vote for the truth.

Brewer ignored Trump, who was in the room.
Jan Brewer's column on restoring faith in elections fails to address the main reason many Republicans don't trust elections: that Donald Trump told them not to trust elections.
The reality is that no one was talking about election fraud until a few months before the 2020 election, when Trump repeatedly claimed that mail-in voting couldn't be trusted and that the only way he could lose the election was through voter fraud.
The lack of confidence in elections is solely a problem for President Trump and the Republican leaders who stood against him and failed to tell the truth about the election to the people.

Hockey is not a priority for Arizona.
What would be bad for everyone in Arizona? One of the big four professional teams is leaving the state.
No one is keen on keeping an NHL team and Alex Merullo should be doing what he needs to do, but a lot of the blame is being placed on him.
John McCain would be rolling in his grave! Can't find land for another arena? But we can surely find land for lots of other things!
Where do you think the NHL's best players learned how to play hockey? Leader needs to step up to retain one of the best assets the Grand Canyon State has to offer.

What has become of our country?
Today's paper discusses a Mesa pastor who believes women who have abortions should be charged with murder, and a Republican Party co-chair who wants to “lynch” a fellow Republican for stating the facts.
The Bible tells us that a fetus is not considered “alive” until it takes a breath, but once born, they face their biggest problem yet: guns are the number one cause of death for children in the United States.
When I was a kid we had air raid training, now we have “active shooter” training.
What has become of our country?
A candidate who claims there will be a “genocide” if he or she does not win is not democratic. Demanding “loyalty” is not part of a democracy. History has shown that forcing loyalty through fear and propaganda is not the way to sustain a democracy.
This is how Putin, Xi Jinping and Kim Jong Un lead their countries: propaganda, lies and fear. Is that what the American people want?
