President-elect Donald J. Trump has found just the right person to lead the Department of Agriculture. Brooke Rollins brings deep experience and an outstanding track record to her new role as Secretary of Agriculture. Her leadership will improve the lives and livelihoods of millions of Americans.
Brooke’s background is nearly perfect for agricultural duties. She grew up on a farm. She was active in 4-H and Future Farmers of America. She became an FFA state employee.
She attended Texas A&M where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree (with honors) in Agricultural Development. She also became the first woman in A&M history to be elected student body president.

She received her Juris Doctorate (with honors) from the University of Texas School of Law.
She became Gov. Rick Perry’s policy director and deputy general counsel. She then became president and CEO of the Texas Public Policy Foundation, transforming it from a two-person organization that nearly went bankrupt during her 15-year tenure to becoming one of the most influential state-level conservative organizations in the nation. Developed into a think tank.
President Trump welcomed her to the White House’s Office of American Innovation and appointed her director of the Domestic Policy Council.
After the 2020 election, Mr. Brooke launched the America First Policy Institute and transformed it into the most powerful planning and policy organization in preparation for Trump’s second term.

It’s been almost a quarter of a century since I’ve known Rollins. She is one of the most extraordinary Americans I have ever met. Rollins is incredibly strategic. Her ability to organize people to solve difficult problems is amazingly impressive. She is able to take on a huge number of tasks in parallel and solve them. she is a great leader.
Mr. Rollins completely understands the Make America Great Again movement and President Trump’s vision for our country.

We need real leadership to support America’s agriculture and rural communities and return us to a system that rewards work and independence similar to the one we passed in the 1996 welfare reform bill.
If the Senate confirms her, as it absolutely should, I am confident that Ms. Rollins will be one of the most capable and intelligent Secretary of Agriculture ever. She will work to ensure that American farmers, regardless of size, can work and succeed. She will ensure that the Department of Agriculture operates efficiently and that America’s food supply remains abundant, affordable, and secure.
Rollins’ leadership and vision will lead USDA into a new era of strength by securing America’s agricultural infrastructure. She has what it takes to return the department’s current bureaucracy to its core mission, for the benefit of both the country and farmers.
When the Senate reconvenes in the new year, it will have national business at hand, including confirmation of a strong nominee from President-elect Trump. Senators should know that Brooke Rollins is the person America needs as Secretary of Agriculture.
