Girls on the Run bring Lunafest to Flagstaff

Happy Galentine’s Day, Flagstaff. Girls on the Run of Northern Arizona invites everyone to the Lunafest traveling film festival on February 13th at Orpheum. Lunafest was started in 2001 by Kit Crawford, co-owner of Cliff Her Bar and Company, as a film festival by and for women about women. Crawford’s love of film festivals and her desire to spotlight and empower women were the inspiration behind the creation of the film festival. Since its first small screening in California 22 years ago, Lunafest has grown into the acclaimed film festival it is today, screening more than 175 feature films and helping local nonprofits raise her $7 million. Lunafest kicks off with a raffle and silent auction during social hours from 6pm. A short program hosted by Girls on the Run, he has four films lined up for screenings starting at 7 p.m. Films range from short documentary “Reclaim your Water: Natasha Smith,” which introduces viewers to the West Coast Ebony Beach Club, to “Pete,” a true narrative and animated exploration of gender identity and Little League Baseball. over.
